Brett J. Rome

Background

Since founding North Hill Ventures in 1999, Brett has worked closely with companies in several financial services sectors. Previously, Brett was a Principal at Westbury Capital Partners, a New York-based venture capital firm investing in information technology and healthcare services companies. Prior to Westbury, Brett was a Principal at The Parthenon Group, a Boston-based strategy consulting firm, where he worked with companies in information services, healthcare services, and private equity.

At North Hill, Brett has focused on financial information services, compliance management, and payments. Brett’s representative investments include: OpenPages (acquired by IBM), Forefield (acquired by Broadridge Financial Solutions), Smart Destinations (acquired by Big Bus Tours), and Exchange Solutions.

Education

Brett holds an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar and an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University.
